The Norwegian courses offered
through SpeakNorwegian!
are all highly intensive courses, which in in terms
of content and progression are primarily adapted to foreigners with some
previous experience with foreign language learning.
The following two courses will be offered between September and December 2009:
SpeakNorwegian! level 1 is a beginners’ course that will give you an introduction to Norwegian language and society and equip you with conversational “survive-in-Norway” – Norwegian.
The main focus of the course is communication skills. Grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading and writing exercises are also important parts of SpeakNorwegian! level 1, in addition to knowledge about Norwegian culture, society and way of life.
SpeakNorwegian! level 1 will take you through to chapter 10 in the course book På vei. The aim of the course is for the students to reach level A1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and a final assessment test will take place at the end of the course. By successful completion of the course you will be able to join SpeakNorwegian! level 2.

SpeakNorwegian! level 2 is a course for learners with proficiency in Norwegian corresponding to level A1 according to the CEFR for Languages, or to SpeakNorwegian! level 1.
SpeakNorwegian! level 2 will take you through the last 7 chapters in the course book På vei. The aim of the course is to improve the students’ communication skills, extend vocabulary and strengthen and consolidate practical knowledge of both spoken and written Norwegian. Communicative exercises such as discussions, role-plays and other speaking exercises are at the core of this course. Knowledge about Norwegian culture, society and way of life are also important part of SpeakNorwegian! level 2.

TIME: Tuesdays 18.30-20.30 and Thursdays 18.30-20.30*
